Dennis Schielke

Dennis Schielke, 66, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 in his home. Dennis Lee Schielke was born May 11, 1937 in Windsor, North Dakota the son of Louis and Marcella (Janes) Schielke. He grew up in the Windsor area and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955. He attended NDSU in Fargo for one year. Dennis attended Sunday School and was confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Jamestown. After high school graduation he joined the US Army on October 7, 1958. He was discharged from service on October 6, 1960. Dennis was a jockey and horse trainer in Florida for many years. He married Karen Schroeder in Oklahoma. He lived in Coral Gables, FL, Oklahoma and Chicago, Illinois before moving back to Jamestown in 1998.

Dennis is survived by four children; Steven (Cheritie) Schielke, Seymour, MO, Scott (Clara) Schielke, Muldro, OK, Deanna Schielke, Muldro, OK and Tracy (Gary) Williams, Muldro, OK, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Marilyn (Ethan) Babcock, Jamestown, ND and Carol (Larry) Mockel, Williston, ND, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sheila Ray.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
