Dennis John Sprenger passed away at the age of 73 on February 23, 2023 at his home in Jamestown, ND.
I say to myself, what was it like when you stepped into Glory? It must’ve been awesome! It there is one thing we know for certain Dennis loved the Lord. A member of First Baptist/Buffalo City Church of 40 plus years, he played many different roles over his life. Early on he was a youth group leader, led Awana groups, held the role of Deacon for a time, and the role he was most passionate about – Soundman. He treasured the friendships of his fellow parishioners, family and past co-workers.
Denny proudly worked for Firestone as a fleet tire service specialist from 1974-2012. Dennis was born in Bismarck, ND on December 15, 1949 to John and Dorothy Sprenger. Dennis married Shirley Franklin in October 1981 and they had two children, Thomas and Sarah.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Shirley Sprenger; two children Thomas Sprenger and Sarah (Robert) Dickenson; four step-children Russell (Holly) Benson, Richard (Stacey) Benson, Angela (Kevin) Budke & Brenda (Robert) Fluth; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four sisters Diana, Judy, Annette and Shirley. He was preceded in death by a baby sister Linda Lou Sprenger, mother Dorothy Rittenbach and father John Sprenger.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023 at Buffalo City Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Caleb Drahosh officiating.
The family would like to invite everyone to join them for refreshments and fellowship at the church immediately following the service.
