Devern Hess

DeVern L. Hess, 84, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

DeVern L. Hess was born June 6, 1926, at Kensal, ND the son of Robert and Rose (Schmidt) Hess. He was married to Patricia Boyer from Brantford, ND. De was employed by the Grain Terminal Association (GTA) and managed grain elevators in Brantford and Jud, ND before retiring in 1982. He and Pat enjoyed their retirement years living in Jamestown.

Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching those Minnesota Twins. But, he especially loved spending time and laughing with his family and friends.

Survivors include 4 sons, Michael (Gloria) Hess, Houston, TX; Tim (Marlene) Hess, Goddard, KS; Steve (Pam) Hess, Courtney, ND and Robert (Julie) Hess, Alfred, ND; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

DeVern was preceded in death by his wife, parents and all brothers and sisters.
