Donald Anderson, 86, of Jamestown, ND, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Eventide, Jamestown.

Donald M. Anderson was born September 22, 1931, in Jamestown, the son of Ernest and Agnes (Maluszycki) Anderson. He grew up on the family farm near Spiritwood Lake, ND and attended school in the area. Donald married Elaine Rising on 1956 and was wed for 25 years. He worked construction and drove truck for many years in the Jamestown area . Donald lived in Bismarck, ND, Turtle Lake, ND and Underwood, ND working in various capacities, one of which he was proud of was the McClusky Canal. He retired from the Coal Creek Station and return to Jamestown. Donald enjoyed nature, fishing and had a green thumb.

Donald is survived by his children, Geraldine (Terry) Kranzler, Gene (Connie) Anderson, Rob Anderson, Loran (Jaime) Anderson, Jim (Cathy) Anderson, LeRoy (Wendy) Anderson, Jovita (Ernest) Thomas, and Rudy Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, with Monsignor Jeffrey Wald officiating.

Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, ND.
