Donald Patrick Baugh (Major, U.S.A. Ret'd), 81, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, September 1, 2002 at his home in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Donald Patrick Baugh was born March 17, 1921 in Quimby, Iowa, He grew up and attended schools in Iowa, Gardiner, Livingston, and Billings, Montana. He joined the Army Air Force in 1941, attended flight school in the Class 43E, Williams Air Field, Arizona. He served with the 8th Air Force, 4th fighter Group in Debden, England during World War II, and was designated as an ""Ace Fighter Pilot"". He continued to serve in the armed services with duty in Korea twice, in Vietnam, in various U. S. Tours and in Germany for 3 years. He retired with the rank of Major, after serving 27 years. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross medal, Good Conduct, Air Medal and 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. After military retirement, he managed the Sherwin Williams Stores at Jamestown and Bismarck. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., Elks, and Eagles all of Jamestown, N.D.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marymargaret Baugh, Jamestown, N.D.; five children, Deborah Lamia, of Milwaukee, WI; Seemann Baugh, of Indianapolis, IN; Patrick Baugh, of Jamestown, N.D.; Mary Beth (David) Pieske, of Longmont, CO; Michael Baugh, of Jamestown, N.D.; two grandchildren, Joseph and Kaylee; and one brother, Kenneth Baugh, of West Liberty, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass: 2:00 P.M. - Friday, September 6, 2002 at the Basilica of St. James Catholic Church in Jamestown, N.D., with Father John Fisher officiating.
Knights of Columbus Rosary 7:00 P.M. - Thursday, September 5, 2002, with Vigil to follow at Eddy Funeral Chapel - Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery - Max, N.D., southwest of Minot, N.D.
