Donald A. Baumgartner

Donald A. Baumgartner, 80, Courtenay, North Dakota, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Donald was born September 15, 1927 in Courtenay, ND, the son of Alfred W. and Stella (Beach) Baumgartner. He attended rural school near Courtenay. He lived all his life southwest of Courtenay where he farmed. Donald married Mary Wachter and they raised their family together on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing in his later years.

Donald is survived by his wife, Mary, Courtenay; one son, Frank (Pamala) Baumgartner, Courtenay; one daughter, Mary (Harold) Haase, Ellendale, ND; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dale (Ruth) Baumgartner, Seattle, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Courtenay Cemetery, Courtenay, ND.
