Donald Wayne Deuitch

Donald Wayne Deuitch, 72, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.

Donald was born February 4, 1937 in Jamestown, the son of Edward H. and Louise (Stoddart) Deuitch. He grew up in the Jamestown area and graduated from Jamestown High School. On August 11, 1961 Donald married Kay Ketelsen. Donald entered the US Army in Jamestown in 1961 and was discharged in 1963. Upon his return to North Dakota, Donald made his home in rural Jamestown and was a lifelong farmer.

Donald enjoyed coffee with his friends, reading, playing cards, working and spending time with his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife, Kay, Jamestown; two brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Deuitch, Burlington, ND and John Deuitch, Jamestown; four sisters, Barbara (Aldo) Brunelle, Argusville, ND, Sharen (Leo) Rudnick, LaPalma, CA, Caroline Lee and Marlene (Harold ""Casey"") Schielke, both of Jamestown; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Eugene.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Harlan Kaden officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Burial: 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota.
