Donald Grenz

Donald D. Grenz, 71, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday evening, March 17, 2017 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Donald was born November 26, 1945, in Jamestown the son of Gust and Dorothy (Suko) Grenz. He graduated from Medina High School in 1964 and worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad and later worked for A & D Diesel. Donald then worked for Williston Basin, a division of MDU until his retirement. He and Sylvia Amiot were married on July 19, 1986 in Baker, MT. He was a member of the Eagles and St. James Basilica.

Donald loved fishing. He also enjoyed reading books and collecting tractors and porcelain frogs.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sylvia Grenz, Jamestown; sons, Tony (Kristi) Grenz, Jamestown and their children, Dakota, Bobby, Bryan, and Jacob; son, Kenneth (Kristen) Grenz of Jamestown and their children, Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Emma; step-daughter, Michelle (Aaron) Scoles of Billings, MT and their children, Crystal and Brianna; step-daughter, Samantha (John) Twombly of Ft. Worth, TX and their children, Skyler, Chase, and Chrystian; sister, Deb (Roger) Kleese of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial : 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
