Donald Talley, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown.
Mr. Talley was born July 28, 1918 in Jamestown, the son of Joseph and Mathilda (Kron) Talley. He received his education in Sydney township schools. He joined the US Army on February 21, 1942 and served his country during World War II. Upon his discharge in April 1944 he returned to North Dakota. Donald married Laura Huebner on July 9, 1945 in Fargo, ND. They lived and farmed all their married life in Sydney township, southwest of Jamestown.
He was a member of the ND Farmers Union, V.F.W. and the Swedish organization.
Donald is survived by his wife, Laura of Jametown; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Donna Barbour-Talley, Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren, Marcia and Ned Talley and one brother, Milton (Mary) Talley of Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and one in infancy.
Funeral Service: 2:30 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2005 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
