ND, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at
Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND

Doris Marion Mortwedt was born August 18, 1918 in Minot, ND,
the daughter of Hilmer and Sophie (Larson) Mortwedt. She was raised in Rever Lodge, Alberta, Canada
where she attended school. She moved
with her family to Valley City,
ND where she met and married
Alvin L. Allickson on October 1, 1946.
They moved to Jamestown, ND where Doris worked as a cook at Jamestown Hospital
for 32 years. She retired in 1984. Alvin
died on September 20, 1985.

Doris was a member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church. She enjoyed reading and reciting poetry. She loved flower gardening, cooking and
entertaining friend, neighbors and her family.

Survivors include 2 children: Ruth (Mark) Diede, Buchanan, ND; John
(Bonnie) Allickson, Jamestown, ND;
5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Snudden, Blackwell, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3
brothers: Jess, John and Don Mortwedt and 2 sisters: Nora Wheeler and Ethel
Spiker.

Funeral - 10:30
a.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Immanuel
Lutheran Church,
Jamestown, ND with Reverend JoAnne Moeller-Andersen
officiating.

Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND

Visitation - noon
to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND
and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Interment - Sunset Memorial Garden, Jamestown,
ND
