Doris Clark, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer.
Doris Ann Fields was born June 24, 1934 on the family farm in the Hawks Nest area, near Carrington, ND. She was the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Watson) Fields. While growing up she attended country school in Longview Township number one and later school in Carrington. The family moved to Jamestown in 1953 where she attended High School and later worked for the Anne Carlsen School. She married Edwin Hieb and they had a son, Dean.
She lived at Wallhalla, ND for many years. During this time she met and married Manuel Clark. He died in 1976. Her life centered around her family and many friends and her church. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the Gardenette Choir. She also enjoyed traveling and spent much of ther time embroidering for her family and friends.
She was a life long member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Doris is survived by a son, Dean Lehrke of Coffeyville, Kansas, a brother, David (Eileen) Fields of Jamestown, a sister, Helen (Kurt) Wissehr of Doylestown, PA and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Manuel Clark.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown with Rev. Richard Reynolds officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 AM, Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, North Dakota.
