Doris Heil

Doris Florence Heil, 78, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.

Doris Heil was born December 9, 1927 in Jamestown, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Julius and Florence (Koch) Heil. She grew up in Cleveland, North Dakota and graduated from Cleveland High School. She attended Jamestown College in Jamestown where she received her teaching degree upon graduating in 1949. She taught school throughout North Dakota upon settling in Jamestown with her brother, Robert Heil. She was a Jamestown High School guidance counselor. She retired from teaching and counseling and spent her time traveling on bus trips and enjoying her family.

Doris is survived by her brother, Robert Heil, Jamestown; a nephew, Julius P. (Joanne) Heil; a great nephew, Julius F. (Elise) Heil, six great nieces, Shannon (Jeff) Shook, Linda (Jerry, Jr.) Dosh, Mimi (Timothy) Wortman, Christina Heil, Crystal (Jeremy) Bowen and Gaea Downing; four grand nieces, Alannah Dosh and Alaina Heil; four grand nephews, Glen Dosh, Julius T. Heil and Connor and Evan Shook; many cousins, countless friends; and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Florence Heil; a step mother, Millie (Dahlen) Heil; an infant half brother, Maurice Heil; a half brother, Julius Heil; an infant sister, Wanda Heil; a half sister, Mildred (Heil) Zimmerman; and a niece, Dorothy Ann (Weed) Halvorson.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, North Dakota.
