Doris B. Kaufman, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.
Doris Bernice Groves was born April 2, 1921 to William Paul and Mary (Stucky) Groves in Freeman, South Dakota.
She was married to Samuel J. Kaufman on May 25, 1944 in Freeman; he survives at their home. Doris has lived in Jamestown since 1962 and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown.
She is survived by her husband, one son and daughter-in-law, Brian Paul and Julie Kaufman and their children, Justin Mann and Taylor Nicole of Eagan, MN; a brother, Roy and Florence Groves of Prior Lake, MN; a brother, Leslie and Ellen Groves of Elyria, KS; a sister Lois and Orlando Goertzen of North Newton, KS; three sisters-in-law, Helen Groves of Mankato, MN, Esther Groves of North Newton, KS, and Goldie Groves of Freeman, SD, many nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding Doris in death were her parents, son Bruce Alan, brothers Raymond Groves of Mankato, MN, Carlyle Groves of Turpin, OK, Quentin Groves of Freeman, SD and Lowell Groves of North Newton, KS.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2005 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
Memorials have been established with the Roger Maris Cancer Center in care of Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
