Dorothea Guthmiller

Dorothea ""Dora"" Guthmiller, 95, Jamestown, North Dakota, formerly of Pettibone, ND, died Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.

Dorothea was born February 12, 1910, near Streeter, ND, daughter of Jacob and Carolina (Albrecht) Martin. She married Peter Guthmiller on November 22, 1932 in Petersville Lutheran Church. The couple farmed near Pettibone until 1966. In 1966 they moved to McClusky, ND. He died May 29, 1977. She moved to Jamestown in 1980.

Dora was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown and was active in Lutheran Women Missionary League and Bible study. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and card playing.

Dora is survived by her four children, Lorraine (Gary) Asmus, Joplin, MO; Mildred (Robert) Meyer, Havelock, IA; Gordon (Alene) Guthmiller, Morgan Hill, CA and Phyllis (Ray) Denchfield, Jamestown, two sisters, Katherine ""Katy"" (Rudolph) Walz, Jamestown and Bertha Remmick, Wishek, ND, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Tom Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Petersville Cemetery, Pettibone, North Dakota.
