Dorothy L. Falk

Dorothy L. Falk, age 89, formerly of Courtenay, ND, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Eventide Nursing Home, Moorhead, MN.

Dorothy Lucille Heaton was born January 2, 1919, in Fargo, North Dakota. Dorothy was the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Lack) Heaton. She grew up and attended school in Lisbon, ND. Dorothy married Anton P. Falk on November 27, 1948 in Lisbon. Tony and Dorothy lived and farmed near Courtenay, ND until 1978, when they retired to Carrington. They moved to Jamestown 10 years later and Tony died in 1989.

Dorothy was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Courtenay and later St James Basilica, Jamestown. She enjoyed family and friends and will be remember by her unique wit and sense of humor.

She is survived by her two daughters, Norma (Melvin) Olson, West Fargo, ND and Gwen Prodzinski, Fargo, ND; one son, Duane (Becky) Falk, Killeen, TX; six grandchildren; and eleven greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son-in-law, David Prodzinski; and all her siblings.

Funeral Mass: 10:30AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown with Father Al Bitz officiating.

Visitation: 4:00PM - 7:00PM; prayer service to follow, Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel

Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Courtenay, ND.
