Dorothy Hartman, 80, Edgeley, ND, died Monday, November 14, 2005 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, ND.
Dorothy Anne Bauman was born September 4, 1925 at New York, New York, the daughter of George and Louise (Kesselring) Bauman. She was raised in New York City and attended the New York City Public Schools. After her schooling, she worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone. On June 23, 1962, she married Alvin Hartman in Hawaii. When Alvin was discharged, after 20 years of Naval Service, they settled in Imperial Beach, CA, where Dorothy worked as a hairdresser and also taught hairdressing at a Beauty School. In 1996, they moved to Edgeley, ND. Alvin died in 1998. Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Lou Ferraro, Vero Beach, FL and a sister-in-law, Marie Swartz, Edgeley, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Memorial Service - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND with Reverend Alan Eppen officiating.
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
