Dorothy Meikle

Dorothy Meikle, 77, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Dorothy Chura was born May 1, 1931 in Kensal, ND, the daughter of George and Mary Rose (Neva) Chura. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Courtenay, ND. On June 20, 1953 Dorothy married Bob Meikle. They lived and farmed all their married life near Spiritwood.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown and the American Legion Auxillary.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Bob Donahoe, Baldwin, WI; three grandchildren, Robyn (Ben) Lehman, Amery, WI, Jessica Donahoe, Baldwin, WI and Sara Donahoe, Baldwin, WI; four half-sisters, Bonnie (Lyle) Thelander, Donna (Jerry) Welinski, Mabel (Dennis) Tinker and Darlene (Richard ""Dick"") Hoveland; two half-brothers, Eldon Walker and LeRoy Walker; an uncle, Albert (Lillian) Neva, Jamestown; sister-in-law, Ruby Sather, Aitkin, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Bob; and two brothers, Dwane and Jackie.

Graveside Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown with Pastor Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Luncheon following the service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown or the American Cancer Society.
