Douglas W Daugs

Douglas W. Daugs, 65, of Jamestown, ND, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, November 6, 2022 after losing a 39-year battle with type 1 diabetes.

Douglas was born February 27, 1957, in Jamestown, ND, the son of Edwin O. and Grace A. (Pottratz) Daugs.  He graduated from Buchanan High School and graduated from UND with a degree in political science. Shortly after graduating, Doug ran for the North Dakota House of Representatives as a Republican.  He farmed with his brother for most of his career, was a trustee of the Jamestown Elks Lodge #995, and served on the ASCS board.

Doug is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Pam) Daugs; niece, Morgan (Josh) Remer and their children, Brooks, Easton, and Aubrey; and nephew, Marcus Daugs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service – 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 18 , 2022 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial – Buchanan Cemetery, Buchanan, ND.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House Corp., PO Box 13454, Grand Forks, ND  58208 for maintenance and repairs.
