Earl Zimmerman

Earl Zimmerman, 73, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday morning, February 29, 2016 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Earl Zimmerman was born May 3, 1942, on the family farm south of Lehr, ND, the son of Edwin and Elizabeth (Schlecht) Zimmerman. He attended country school near Lehr and graduated from Ashley High School. His parents passed away two weeks apart when he was 18 years old, so Earl worked for area farmers before moving to Eureka, SD to live with his sister, Ramona. Earl married Vivian B. Sayler in 1962 in Wishek, ND. They made their home in Eureka for a short time, and then moved to Wishek where he worked at the Wishek Community Hospital. Earl was a truck farmer, growing and selling vegetables and poultry for many years. They moved to Jamestown in 2007 where he was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Earl liked following sports, fishing, cooking, canning, and raising animals.

Earl is survived by his wife, Vivian Zimmerman; daughter, Debra (Jim) Hagerott; son, Michael (Perihan) Zimmerman; son, Mark (Lana) Zimmerman; son, Daniel (Lori) Zimmerman; daughter, Sheri (Brandon) Engleking; daughter, Kim (Kent) Marty; eleven grandchildren; and sister, Ramona Heupel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Zimmerman; and brother, Dallas Zimmerman.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Randy Jaspers officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Prayer Service : 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
