Ed Schlager

Edward Schlager, 78, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Edward was born December 27, 1924 on a farm north of Lake Williams, North Dakota the son of George & Louise (Bohl) Schlager. He attended Merkel Schoal school north of Robinson, ND. He married Evelyn Madson on July 31, 1941. They farmed south of Robinson until 1949, then moved to Jamestown. Edward worked for Lindberg Construction and Moline Construction until his retirement in 1987.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Edward is survived by his wife, five sons, Marlin (Deaon), Minot; George (Carol), Tucson, AZ; Keith, Jamestown; Bob, Jamestown; Terry (Char), Jamestown, three daughters; Cindy (Doug) Wold, St. Cloud, FL; Roxanne (Kim) Hurley, Jamestown and Tammie (Doug) Oberlander, Jamestown, 18 grandchildren; Todd, Karri, Shane, Dana, Travis, Justin, Sierra, Todd, Cody, Brooke, Krystle, David, Chris, Jade, Nick, Jake, Brittany and Taylor; 10 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Clara, Alvina and Edith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two in infancy and John & Albert and two sisters, Olga & Mary.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, July 21, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.

Visitation: 2:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
