Edith Pauline Rohrer

Edith Pauline Rohrer, 94, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, ND. Edith was born February 18, 1909 in Goldwin Township, near Woodworth, North Dakota the daughter of Jacob & Christine (Fischer) Trautman. She attended rural school near Woodworth and worked on the family farm.

On October 24, 1935 Edith married Albert Rohrer near Woodworth. They made their home on a farm in Goldwin Township until 1941. They moved to Medina, ND, then to Jamestown in 1951. She worked at the Buffalo Motel and later at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown. Edith also had a boarding home for the elderly in Jamestown. Albert died on September 9, 1995.

Edith was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, playing cards and cooking.

She is survived by one son, James (Florence) Rohrer, Sioux City, IA, two daughters, Judy (Ron) Buchholz, Jamestown, ND; Janice (Robert) Johnson, Dickinson, ND; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene (Ruth) Trautman, Cooperstown, ND and one sister, Irene Pleinis, Bismarck, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, (Ed and Jake); four sisters, (Elizabeth Struxness, Ella Moen, Kathryn Branning and Leah Rohrer) and one grandson, Gerald.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM - Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM - Friday, February 28, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
