Edith Sorensen

Edith Sorensen, 73, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.

Edith Goodman was born August 17, 1932 near Dawson, North Dakota, the daughter of David and Gertrude (Whitman) Goodman. She attended rural school near Robinson and received her teaching certificate from Tyler University in Indiana. She taught in rural schools throughout North Dakota. Edith married Gordon Sorensen.

Edith is survived by a daughter, Beverly Vollbrecht, Burlington, ND and a son, David Thompson, Iowa and two sisters, Blanche Thompson, Covina, CA and Carrie Jirasek, Anoka, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Fairview Cemetery, North of Dawson, North Dakota.
