Edna Miller
Edna Miller, 98, Adrian, ND died at Jamestown Hospital on Friday, December 4, 2009.
Edna Sophie Supler was born October 24, 1911 at Verona, ND the daughter of Edward and Bedelia (Qualley) Supler. She grew up on a farm three miles northwest of Verona. After graduating from Verona High School in 1930 she attended Valley City State Teachers College at Valley City, ND where she received her Teaching Certificate. She taught at several township schools including Griswold, Greenville and Saratoga. She began teaching at Banner #1 at Adrian, ND in 1938.
Edna married Otto Miller at Moorhead, MN on June 3, 1940. They lived at Adrian where she was the postmaster from 1942 until retiring in 1977. Otto died in August, 1997.
Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Adrian, ND, Trinity Church Ladies Aid and the Senior Citizens of Dickey, ND, . She enjoyed golfing at Memorial Park Country Club, Grand Rapids, ND, oil painting, reading, crossword puzzles and walking.
Survivors include her sons, Kent (Jean) Miller of Adrian and their children Mitchell (Rhea) Miller, Graci and Izzy Miller of Adrian, Jana (Evan)Punt, Jordyn, Mya, and Carter, all of Reiles Acres, ND, and Michael Miller, Jamestown, ND; Lee (Kathleen) Miller of Adrian and their children, Erika (Jason) Sleger and Svea of San Antonio, TX, Tina (Dan) Sly and Ella, all of Moorhead, MN, and Sophie Miller, Adrian, ND; and 1 brother, Delbert Supler, Rochelle, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Donald.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian, ND with Rev. Thomas Puffe officiating.
Visitation: Noon to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services in the church on Monday.
Interment: Adrian Cemetery, Adrian, ND
