Edna Murch

Edna Murch, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at SCCI Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Edna Schumacher, daughter of Adolph and Magdalena (Roesler) Schumacher, was born on April 29, 1918 in Oakes, North Dakota. She was confirmed and graduated from the 8th grade in Monango, ND. While married to Earl Perry they had three children, Lydia Annabell, Ardell and DuWayne. Edna and Earl were professional painters. They also traveled with the fair and she was a barker.

While married to Joseph Telken she had three step-sons, Eugene, LaVerne and Darrell and a step-daughter, Phyllis. She drove gravel truck and they ran a bar in Wolverton, MN.

Edna worked for Peterson Biddick and Jamestown Laundry before marrying Sydney Murch, Sr. on July 6, 1951. She was a farm wife for 15 years before becoming a widow. After Sydney's death, she worked at Jamestown Truck Stop until her retirement.

Edna is survived by one daughter, Ardell Goff, Jamestown and son, DuWayne Perry, VA; step-daughters, June Winings, Detroit Lakes, MN, Esther Dean and Betty Murch, Fargo, Joyce Telken, Florida, Yavonne (Earling) Sevik, Colorado, Cecelia (Bernard) Sundeen, Cleveland, ND, Phyllis (Ed) Hodgson, Minnesota and Leona Wilson, Fargo; a step-son, Everett (Marcella) Murch, many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie (Lloyd) Hansen, Oakes, ND, Elsie Schumacher, MN and Ellen (Don) Grove, Washington; one sister-in-law, June Schumacher; a brother, Albert Schumacher, Aneta, ND; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Pearl Ross, Myrtle Batesole and Katie Goldade.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; daughter, Annabelle; step-sons, Ernie and Sydney; four step-grandchildren, Cyndie Sevik, Barbara, Jimmy and Carl Telken, four sisters, Emily, Lillian, Ida and Alice and three brothers, Herbert, Ernie, Elmer.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
