Edna Rewald

Edna E. Rewald, 85, Jamestown, North Dakota, formerly of Woodworth, ND, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Jamestown Hospital.

Edna Peda was born May 11, 1924 in Woodworth, the daughter of Rudolph and Theophila (Retzloff) Peda. She grew up in the Woodworth area and attended rural schools. On June 22, 1944 Edna married Ewald Rewald at the New Home Church, rural Woodworth. She moved from Sykeston to Jamestown in 1998 and has lived here since.

Edna enjoyed crocheting, visiting with people, watching birds and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-granchildren.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Edna is survived by two sons, Ronald (Robin) Rewald, Pettibone, ND and Thomas Rewald, Sykeston, ND; one daughter, Alice (Rodney) Meske, Hooper, NE; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Patzer, Rochester, MN; and four sisters-in-law, Eunice Peda, Jamestown, Ethel Peda, Brandson, MN, Elsie Schabary, Nashville, TN and Elda Brunsch, Woodworth.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Concordia Lutheran Church, with Pastor Thomas Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: New Home Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota
