Edward Bitz Jr

Edward Michael Bitz, Jr. died peacefully on July 30, 2024.  Born on September 25, 1952 in Jamestown, ND to Edward & Lila Bitz.  Ed spent his younger years in Valley City where he attended grade school & high school, graduating in 1970 from VCHS.  Ed went on to graduate from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND with an Associate’s Degree and entered into the sheet metal profession.  He pursued this career for several years then later in life he obtained a CDL license and drove truck until retiring at the age of 65.

Ed is survived by his son Christopher (Trista) of Harwood, ND: two grandchildren, Elliott & Olivia: 3 siblings, Susan Ellison (Sam Karels) of MN: Jerome (Cynthia) Bitz of CA: & Lori Koebernick (Glenn) of ND.  Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Lila Bitz:, grandparents, William & Dorothy Bitz: &  Michael & Gertrude Harstad.

The family is honoring one of Ed's final wishes, not to have a memorial service.  The immediate families will share a private day of remembrance.
