Edward Kulikoff

Edward Kulikoff, 93, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Edward was born March 22, 1916 in San Francisco, California, the son of Russian immigrants, Alexander and Pauline (Suternoff) Kulikoff. He received his education in Portland, Oregon, graduating from Commerce High School in 1935. He worked at a furniture factory for five years and was a welder in the Oregon shipyards. Edward served in the US Navy on September 24, 1943 in San Francisco and served during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He received an honorable discharge on December 14, 1945. Edward received the American Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the World Ward II Victory Medal. On November 5, 1960 he married Harriet Moran in Fairview, Oregon. He was employed by Sailors Union of Pacific Merchant Marines for 25 years, retiring in 1970. Edward was also in real estate development for 20 years. He enjoyed traveling.

Edward is survived by sister-in-law, Laurel Dohman, Medford, OR; two brothers-in-law, Elden Brady and Robert (Nora) Moran, both of Jamestown; nieces and nephews, Charles Brady, Sandra Broschat, Darrell Moran, Robin Dunwoody, DeWayne Moran, Laurel Spaeth, Donovan Moran, Geri Lounsbury, Mary Hutchison, Clyde Cook and Steven Cook.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one sister and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jamestown Hospital Hospice or Ave Maria Village.
