Edwin Nuetzman

M. Edwin ""Ed"" Nuetzman, 92, Bismarck, North Dakota, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at his home in Bismarck.

Ed was born February 25, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Albert F. and Ruby (Hogle) Nuetzman. He graduated from Hinckley High School in Hinckley, MN. He entered the US Army and served during World War II. On June 26, 1948 Ed married Clara Bloyer in Remer, MN. Ed attended Hamlin University, Iowa Weslyn College and received his Bachelor's Degree at University of North Dakota, Grand Forks and his Master's Degree in social work from the University of Denver. He lived in Williston, Jamestown, Grand Forks and Bismarck. He was in charge of the Homemaker Home Health Aide Program for the state and retired in 1984.

Ed's hobbies included camping, music, writing novels and traveling around the world. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins. He wrote a novel entitled \""Combat Safari\"", which was published and a copy is at the Chester-Fritz Library at UND.

Ed is survived by his son, Jeff Nuetzman, Bismarck; daughter, Beth J. Nuetzman, Jamestown; one sister, Jean (Arthur) Vanselow, Minneapolis, MN and a special friend, Marie Wilde, Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and special nephew, Marritt Vanselow.
