Eileen M. Hoggarth, 59, Wimbledon, North Dakota died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Eileen Margaret Groth was born July 26, 1944 in Fargo, ND the daughter of Irvin and Edna (Lambrecht) Groth. She lived on a farm near Enderlin, ND until she was six years old. In 1950, Eileen moved with her family to Wimbledon, ND where her father purchased the John Deere dealership. She attended school there and graduated from Wimbledon High School in 1962. After graduating, she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo and then worked for the City and County Health Nurses in Jamestown until July 1967. Eileen married Russel Hoggarth on May 25, 1966 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Wimbledon. They made their home in Wimbledon and owned and operated the Wimbledon Implement Company for many years.
Eileen was very active in the Wimbledon Community, always ready to lend a hand at an alumni event, a sporting event, or anything that improved Wimbledon.
She enjoyed playing cards, following various sports teams, auction sales, cooking, baking & cookbooks and anything that involved her family and grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her husband, Russel, one son, Ron Hoggarth, Wimbledon, one daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Rich Smith, Sioux Falls, SD, three grandchildren, Spencer & Morgan and Gail Muller, her mother, Edna Groth, Fargo, ND, two sisters, Barb (Roger) Nims, Lisbon, ND and Verna (Don) Timms, Newark, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Groth and a brother in infancy, Ronald Groth.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, July 5, 2004 at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wimbledon with Rev. Robert Leiste and Rev. John Dawson officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to Noon, Saturday, July 3, 2004 and 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Wimbledon, North Dakota.
