Eleanor Knopp

Eleanor C. Knopp, 81, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Eleanor Dahl was born May 14, 1930 in Martin, ND, the daughter of Martin and Elma (Henvald) Dahl. She grew up and attended country schools in the Fessenden, ND area. On February 10, 1949 Eleanor married Harold Knopp in Fessenden. They lived in Fessenden until Harold retired in 1978. They moved to Bismarck until Harold's passing in 1980. Eleanor then moved to Jamestown where she resided until her passing.

Eleanor enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Colby, Fessenden, ND, Karen (Marvin) Roemmich, Eldridge, ND, Pamela (Kevin Dunwoodie) Knopp, Jamestown and Julie (Jerry) Gengler, Steele, ND; seven grandchildren, Jodi, Corey, Keith, Michael, Marcus, Sky, Romelle; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters; and five brothers.
