Eleanor Krause

Eleanor Krause, 98, Jamestown, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Central Dakota Village Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Eleanor Perleberg was born March 13, 1908 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Emilia (Buetow) Perleberg. She attended school in Hidden township, west of Buchanan, ND. Eleanor moved to Jamestown and worked at the Wonder Bar for many years. She married Ervin Krause on November 12, 1953 in Moorhead, MN.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and feeding all the little animals. She loved taking care of all her cats and was known for her spaghetti and peanut butter cookies. Eleanor helped raise her niece, Connie Sauer. Eleanor was the Godmother of the family.

Eleanor is survived by two sisters, Lillian Cassidy of Fargo, ND, and Emogene Stoppleworth of Jamestown; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; parents; five brothers, Wilbert, Lloyd, George, Lester, Albert; and one sister, Tootie Mayer.

Funeral Service: 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.

Visitation: 1:00PM to 8:00PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
