Eleanor Norenberg

Eleanor Nohrenberg, 95, Carrington, N.D., formerly of Pingree, died January 2, 2003 at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, N.D.

Eleanor was born February 20, 1907 in Wisconsin. She was the adopted daughter of August and Anna (Kramer) Daugs. They came to Pingree in 1909 by train when Eleanor was two years old. Eleanor graduated from the grades from Lees School No. 10.

She married Ernest Nohrenberg on November 27, 1924 in Pringree, N.D. They made their home on a farm south of Pingree. Ernest died on April 16, 1976.

Eleanor was a member of Pingree Lutheran Church.

Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Syliva Zink, of Carrington, N.D.; one son Raymond (Barbara) Nohrenberg, of Pingree, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren;

two sisters, Gertrude Smith; Mary Jean Beedy; four brothers, Edward Daugs; Clarence Daugs; Matt Brausch; and John Brausch. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, (Orley and Donald), five brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. - Monday, January 6, 2003 at Pingree Lutheran Church - Pingree, N.D., with Pastor Bryce Tahran and Candyce Wick-Deaconess officiating.

Visitation: Sunday, January 5, 2003 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home - Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: Pingree Cemetery - Pingree, N.D.
