Ella Lange

Ella Lange, 100, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.

Ella Preuss was born March 28, 1904 in Redwood County, Minnesota the daughter of Jacob and Rosina (Berroth) Preuss.

She married William Lange on July 8, 1926 in the Waterbury Church. They moved to the Eldridge area where they farmed until his death in 1954. She continued on the farm with her son, Ken. Ella moved to Jamestown in 1973 and lived in an apartment until she could no longer care for herself. She then moved to Central Dakota Nursing Home where she has been since.

Ella loved working in the earth, making flowers and her garden grow. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and quilted at the church every week visiting with her friends.

Ella is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Lange, Jamestown and William (Marge) Lange, Eldridge, ND nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, William Preuss, Lamberton, MN and a son-in-law, Lyle Cumber.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Ruth Cumber, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, August 20, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Eldridge Cemetery, Eldridge, North Dakota.
