Ella Schutt, 94, Jamestown ND, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Ava Maria Village. Ella was born October 16, 1920 in Denhoff, ND to the late John and Rosie (Goehring) Reule. She graduated from McClusky High School in February of 1935. Thereafter, Ella ventured south to Jamestown, ND where she met the love of her life, the late Walter W. Schutt. The two were married at Camp Perry, where Walter was stationed, in Port Clinton, OH on January 8, 1943. She and Walter made their life together on the family farm, along with their five sons, Leroy, William, Wayne, Thomas, and Douglas. Together they raised their children, worked the land and raised cattle until Ella moved to Jamestown. Ella was a member of the VFW Auxiliary up to her death. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music (especially the McCoy program) and making daily trips to the County Market to visit with passersby. Ella was a devoted, accepting and loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Ella's son's, daughters-in-law (Kathryn, Jackie, Sherry, and Melissa), 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren cherish the wonderful memories and never-ending love bestowed upon each and every member of the family. It was always apparent that Ella's family was her life. Ella was a beautiful soul who shared her enthusiasm for life with anyone who came in contact with her. Ella is also survived by her loving sister Adeline of Fargo, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter,and her siblings: Alfred, Herbert, Floyd, Chester, Melvin and Delores.
Funeral Service: 2:30 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Erik Weber, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday, February 11 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Family Receiving Friends: 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, February 11 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Eldridge Cemetery.
