Ella Willows

Ella Willows, 90, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Ella Bentz was born October 13, 1916 in Artas, South Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Ackerman) Bentz. She grew up and attended school in rural Campbell County, South Dakota. Ella was baptized and confirmed at the Artas Reformed Church in Artas. She moved to Turtle Lake, ND and worked at the Turtle Lake Drug Company. On October 24, 1947 Ella married John Henry Willows in Eureka, SD. They moved between Jamestown and Turtle Lake settling in Jamestown in 1955, where her home as been ever since. John died July 6, 1979.

Ella was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Elks, both of Jamestown.

Ella is survived by a daughter, Ronda Willows, Mora, MN; a son, Richard (Sandra) Willows, Andover, MN; two granddaughters, Susie and Julie; and one brother, Alfred Bentz, Eureka, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers, Elmer, Christ, Raymond and Calvin and one sister, Ida Presser.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, May 11, 2007 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown with Pastor Susan Lester officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
