Elsie Geisler

Elsie Geisler, 86, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Elsie Wanner was born July 19, 1926 on a farm northwest of Eureka, SD to Fred K. and Pauline (Widmer) Wanner. She lived on the farm with her parents and attended rural schools. Elsie married Emil Geisler on February 14, 1948 in Aberdeen, SD. They lived in Aberdeen for two years before moving to Minneapolis, MN. She worked as a waitress and in factories while in Minneapolis. They moved to Jamestown then to Merricourt, ND, where Elsie drove the Senior Citizen Bus for ten years. She retired in 1991. Elsie moved to Jamestown where she enjoyed doing crafts, fishing, traveling and various other things to keep busy.

Elsie is survived by one daughter, Ella (Robert) Syverson, Jamestown; four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one sister, one brother-in-law and two granddaughters.
