Elsie Magdalena Koenig

Elsie Koenig, 90, Woodworth, North Dakota, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.

Elsie Magdalena Hust was born January 31, 1917, in Stutsman County, south of Woodworth, ND, the daughter of George and Rose (Moser) Hust. She grew up and attended school in rural Woodworth.

Elsie married Carl Koenig on July 1, 1934 at Woodworth. They made their home in rural Woodworth, where they farmed until 1982 when Carl retired. Carl died on April 24, 1997.

Elsie was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth, the Lutheran Women's Mission League, and the Woodworth Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking and playing the organ.

Elsie is survived by four daughters, Doretta (Roger) Reule, Bismarck, ND; Arvadell (Myron) Hinger, Medina, ND; Barbara Moser, Fargo, ND; Sharon (Fred) Limesand, Buffalo, MN; one son Jeffrey Koenig, Woodworth; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Edwin (Emma) Hust, of Jamestown; one sister-in-law, Emma Hust, Woodworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Norman; three sisters, Lydia Lange, Edna Struxness and Eileen Koenig; and five brothers, August, Adam, Reuben, Ted and Harry.

Funeral services: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth, ND with Pastor Howard Lyons officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 12, 2007 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.
