Elva G. Erickson

Elva G. Erickson, 84, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Mrs. Erickson was born June 2, 1920 in Goldwin, ND the daughter of John and Edith (Jenks) Walters. She moved to the Jamestown area where she attended Homer School. She married Henry G. Erickson on September 28, 1940 in Jamestown and they farmed in Homer Township until 1984. In 1984 they moved into Jamestown. Henry died February 12, 1985. Elva worked as a cook at the North Dakota State Hospital and with the Jamestown School District. She was a member of the Homer Homemakers and Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in various church functions.

She enjoyed her family, country music, dancing to old time music, animals and farm living. She will be missed by her family.

Elva will be missed by: her four children, Alice (James) Larson, Detroit Lakes, MN; Gary (Carol) Erickson, Jamestown; Marvin Erickson, Jamestown and Janice (Gene) Hetletved, Robinson, ND, nine grandchildren, Pamela (Mike) Daly; Christine Larson; Gerald (Debra) Erickson; Glen Erickson, Don Erickson; Lee (Penny) Hetletved, Clint Hetletved, Cale (LaVonne) Kaiser and Jeffrey (Evangelina) Kaiser; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, May Briggs, Long Beach, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
