Emily Roach

Emily Roach, 90, Jamestown, ND died at Jamestown Hospital on Thursday, June 07, 2007.
Emily Cebula was born on April 24, 1917 on the Cebula home farm in Ashland Township near Fried, ND the daughter of Frank and Anna (Marynik) Cebula. She attended the Ashland township school, worked on the family farm and after graduating from school, worked for the Brandenberger family of Iowa for 2 years. Emily married Paul Roach in Jamestown on February 10, 1942. They moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where they made their home. Paul died in Cedar Rapids on October 15, 1976. She moved to Jamestown in 1986 where she has lived since.
Survivors include 14 nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Florence Cebula, Jamestown, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister Veronica and 3 brothers, Joseph, Frank and Leonard and 1 infant brother.
Emily was a member of The Basilica Of St. James and the St. James Tabernacle Society, Jamestown, ND. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.
Funeral Service: 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at The Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, ND.
Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown and 1 hour prior to services in the church on Saturday.
Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, ND.
