Erma Sodawasser

Erma Sodawasser, 85, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital.

Erma Rolfson was born October 21, 1921 in Fargo, North Dakota the daughter of Engebret and Hilda (Lund) Rolfson. Erma was raised and attended school at Windsor, ND where her dad owned a business. She graduated from Jamestown High School. On July 9, 1940 she married Lloyd Sodawasser. They moved to Chicago where they resided for seven years. Erma was employed at the California Brick Kitchen at Oak Park, IL. After Lloyd returned home from the US Navy, they moved back to North Dakota where they rented and later purchased a farm. Lloyd died January 11, 2004.

Erma loved country life and flowers, gardening and visiting with friends.

Erma and Lloyd also helped raise a nephew during the summer months, and their grandson spent many summers with them as well. They enjoyed all their family, especially their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Erma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown and the Jamestown VFW.

Erma is survived by a grandson, Tod Sodawasser, Bothell, WA; granddaughter, Linda Wolter, Moorhead, MN; three great-grandsons, David Wichmann, Moorhead, MN, Cody Sodawasser, Bothell, WA and Nicholas Sodawasser, Bothell, WA; a great-great grandson, Gabriel Wichmann, Moorhead, MN; a great-great granddaughter, Mikala Wichmann, Moorhead, MN and six brothers & sisters, Vernon Rolfson, Embarrass, MN, Allen Rolfson, Burlington, WA, Harlen Rolfson, Anchorage, AK, Laverne Rolfson, North St. Paul, MN, LaVonne Carfield, Pendleton, OR and Ruby Rolfson, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; son, Lloyd, Jr. and grandson, Michael Wichmann.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial at a later date: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
