Erna Radtke

Erna M. Radtke, 87, Valley City, North Dakota, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Monday, April 2, 2007 at Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

Erna Kurtz was born April 19, 1919 in Lucca, North Dakota, the daugher of Edward and Louise (Linski) Kurtz. She was educated in Winfield township. On August 19, 1945 Erna married Lawrence Radtke at St. John's Lutheran parsonage. They farmed for many years in North Dakota. They also lived in Washington state for many years. After retirement they were custodians at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kirkland, WA. She was a Sunday School teacher and a tremendous prayer warrior.

Erna is survived by one son, Paul Radtke, Jamestown; two daughters, Barbara Radtke, Jamestown and Vicki (Fred) Rohn, Coeur 'd Alene, ID; one sister, Evelyn Oberlander, Jamestown and one sister-in-law, Beverly Kurtz, Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Elizabeth, Alma and Elsie and three brothers, Martin, Elmer and Benjamin.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: 2:00 PM, Monday, April 9, 2007 at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND
