Ernest Wraalstad, 99, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.
Ernest was born November 25, 1908 in Corinne township, near Courtenay, ND, the son of Christian and Gertrude (Erickson) Wraalstad. He received his education in rural schools in Corinee township and the Courtenay area. In 1934 Ernest married Ethel Syvertson in Moorhead, MN. They lived most of their married life in Corinne township where they farmed. They moved to Jamestown in 1989. Ethel died January 1, 1996.
Ernest served on the Corinne township board for many years. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
Ernest is survived by his son, Donald of Lisbon, ND, and his son, Paul (Brenda) and their children, Jagger & Jada; daughter, Wanda (Martin) Kruger of Buchanan, ND, and their children, Robert (Pam), Richard, Pam and Dawn (Mike) Moser, and their children, Paige, Aaron and Seth; and daughter-in-law, Joan Wraalstad, Moorhead, MN and her children, Kimber, Corey (Krista) and their children, Sarah and Hunter, and Randy (Stacey).
He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Eugene and Leon; one granddaughter, Kristen; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, with Pastor David Thompson officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Burial: Courtenay Cemetery, Courtenay, North Dakota.
