Ervin Frey

Ervin Frey, 91, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Ervin was born March 8, 1913 in Homer Township, near Jamestown, the son of Edwin and Clara (Koehn) Frey. He attended school in the area and graduated from Jamestown High School. Ervin farmed east of Jamestown . He married Laveril Beckman June 21, 1945 in Ypsilanti, ND. They continued to farm in Homer Township all their lives. Laveril died December 13, 1991.

Ervin was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Elks and Eagles, all of Jamestown and a board member of Homer Township for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with his friends and family.

Ervin is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin & Gayle Frey, Jamestown; three grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Johnson, Shell Rock, Iowa, Grant Frey, Jamestown and Kristin Frey, Fargo, ND; one sister, Doris Radtke, Jamestown; two brothers, Carl (Eileen) Frey, Sun Lakes, AZ and James Frey, Oakland, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister, Ruby Berge.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday, June 28, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
