Erwin Wagner

Erwin Wagner, 78, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, March 14, 2003 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Erwin was born August 26, 1925 in Ashley, North Dakota the son of John and Johanna (Maier) Wagner. He married Lena Ehresman on September 18, 1949 at the Reformed Church near Long Lake, South Dakota. Erwin farmed near Ashley until 1969. He moved to Jamestown in the early 1970's and worked as an independent mail carrier.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Eagles, both of Jamestown. He was also an active member of the Senior Citizens. Erwin enjoyed playing cards and visiting with his friends.

Erwin is survived by five daughters, Idella (Clarence) Leshovsky, Minot, ND; Sharon (Galen) Lee, Gillette, WY; Diana Wagner, Fargo, ND; Susan (Francis) Peterka, Park River, ND and Nancy (Steve) Kelsey, Aberdeen, SD and one son, James Wagner, Glencoe, MN, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.

Visitation: 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Ashley Cemetery, Ashley, North Dakota.
