Esther Hehr, 95, Edgeley, ND, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Esther Mary Hehr was born March 1, 1915 on the family farm southeast of Kulm, ND, the daughter of August and Maria (Kalmbach) Hehr. She was raised near Kulm and attended the rural school. After her schooling she worked on the farm. On April 16, 1940, she married Edwin Hehr in Kulm and they settled on a farm near Kulm. In 1947, they purchased a farm near Edgeley, ND where they farmed until retiring in 1994. Edwin died in 1997. Esther continued to live on the farm until December of 2004 when she moved to the Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley, ND. In March of 2010, she moved to St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Esther enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and her cats.

Survivors include 3 sons: Darwin Hehr, Edgeley, ND; Eugene (Lois) Hehr, West Fargo, ND; Victor Hehr, Edgeley, ND; 3 daughters: Joyce (William) Helland, Minot, ND; Darlene Johnson, Fargo, ND; Arlene Hagen, Moorhead, MN; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Irene Hehr, Edgeley, ND; Ruth Schuldheisz, Kulm, ND and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, a great-grandson and 5 brothers.

Funeral - 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND

Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND

Visitation - noon to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND

Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
