Eugena (Jeannie) Gebhardt, 85, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday September 2, 2017 at Ave Maria in Jamestown.

Jeannie was born November 28, 1931 in Danzig (McIntosh County) North Dakota, the daughter of Carl J. Goehring and Mathilda (Weintz) Goehring. She attended school in McIntosh County.

Jeannie married Raymond Gebhardt on June 20, 1950 in Wishek, North Dakota. They moved to Jamestown in 1951 where Jeannie worked at the City Laundry and the Anne Carlsen School. In the early 1960’s, Jeannie started working for the Jamestown Public School system as a cook. She worked at Lincoln and then Gussner Elemantry Schools until 1979. In 1979 Jeannie obtained her G.E.D. and began working at the North Dakota State Hospital in Medical Records until her retirement in December 2002.

Jeannie enjoyed her flower gardens and her puppies. She enjoyed baking for the holidays especially decorating her gingerbread cookies. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and following their activities.

Jeannie is survived by her son, Kevin (Gaylene) Gebhardt, Jamestown, grandsons Adam Gebhardt, Mandan, ND, Joseph (Joey) Gebhardt, Jamestown and brother, Evans Goehring, Ashley ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her daughter Lucinda (Cindy) Eslinger, her parents, brothers, Leo Goehring and Calvin Goehring and sister, Stella Remmich.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Joel Winckler, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
