Eunice Farthing, 89, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, May 8, 2009 at Jamestown Hospital.
Eunice Sophie Dronen was born March 10, 1920 in Cleveland, North Dakota to Malius and Olga (Haugen) Dronen. On September 2, 1939 Eunice married Donald Farthing, Sr. in Big Timber, MT. Eunice and Don moved to Jamestown in 1950. Don passed away November 3, 1973. Eunice was employed at various places including Arnies Truck Plaza, Parkway Café and Gordon's Chicken Inn, and Northwest Y. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Eunice had a beautiful garden and loved to sew.
Eunice is survived by two sons, Darold (Donna), Jamestown, ND and Donald (Karen), Watertown, SD; one daughter, DeAnna (Charles) Simmons; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Jay (Betty) Dronen, Jamestown and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five grandchildren; five sisters; and four brothers.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Eric Libby, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery
