Eva Becker

Eva R. Becker, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Eva Ruth (Trautmann) Becker was born June 2, 1921 at Valley Spring Township, near Cleveland, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Peter and Christina Trautmann. She grew up and received her education in rural Cleveland Schools. She lived on the farm with her mother and in 1940 they moved to Medina, ND. She worked in Medina and Jamestown as a housekeeper. On January 30, 1942 she married Harry Becker in Miles City, MT. Harry is the son of the late Fred and Katie Becker of Cleveland. They moved to Jamestown in 1943 where they continued to make their home.

She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Eva is survived by her husband, Harry Becker, of Jamestown and two sisters, Alvina Stolz and Clara (Ben) McGruder, both of Jamestown.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
