EVA H. MATZEK

age 92 a resident of the Colorado Springs since 1999 passed away on Tuesday September 21, 2004 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence. She was a homemaker.

Eva Harriet Meikle was born on December 29, 1911 in Nevis, Minnesota to the late Henry and Eva (Howard) Meikle. She attended school and graduated from Spiritwood High School in Spiritwood, North Dakota. She married Alfred Matzek in September of 1935. Alfred died in April of 1979.

Mrs. Matzek is survived by her son: Mylo (wife,June) Matzek of Peyton, Colorado and three grandchildren: Debra McLain of Bossier City, Louisiana; Mitzi Hodge of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Keith (wife, Lori) of Louisville, Mississippi.

She is also survived by her sister Ruby Foster of Aitkin, Minnesota four step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Memorial services will be held at a future date at Alterra Sterling House of Briargate, 7560 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920.

Burial: 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at the Spiritwood Cemetery, south of Spiritwood, North Dakota.
