Evelyn Harr

Evelyn Harr, 99, Jamestown, ND formerly of Woodworth, ND passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Ave Maria Village under hospice care and with her family by her side.
Evelyn Pieske was born October 20, 1917 in Woodworth, ND to Otto and Emma (Matzke) Pieske. She attended schools in rural Woodworth. On June 2, 1941 Evelyn married Leander Harr. They moved to Goldwin, ND in 1950 and resided there until moving to Woodworth in 1997. Leander passed away in 2001. Evelyn lived at home until 2016 before moving into Ave Maria Village in October 2016.
Evelyn belonged to the Woodworth Senior Citizens Group. Her hobbies included gardening, making quilts, baking (raised donuts and lemon meringue pie were her specialties) and she especially loved being around her family.
She is survived by her children; Dale (Ardeen) Harr, Woodworth, ND, Nathan (Gloria) Harr, Jamestown, ND, Ardell (Gene) Quigley, Jamestown, ND, Marlin Harr, Pettibone, ND, Curtis (Val) Harr, Edgeley, ND, Kelvin (Sheila) Harr, Courtenay, ND, Noel (Rolene) Harr, Mapleton, ND, Karen (Doug) Williams, Bismarck, ND; 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Carol Tower; one brother-in-law, Elmer Harr. She was preceded in death by her husband Leander, one daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, January 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Susan Haukaas, officiating.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, January 15 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Spring Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, ND.
